First round of the John Rae trophy kicked off in the mist of Glasgow Green. Abronhill started the better of the two teams, opening up the Glasgow Athletic defence easily, but it was Glasgow Athletic who took the lead. A free kick floated in for one of there three offside players to knock the ball home after the Innes lost the ball in the mist. Abronhill bounced back within 5 minutes. Billy cutting inside and finding Michael McG on the edge of the box who turned and fired low and hard into the bottom corner, 1-1. Abronhill took the lead shortly after, a superb floated freekick from Danny found young Michael 'ICEMAN' McQuillan at the back post who finished off with a superb side foot volley leaving the keeper no chance. Glasgow pulled it level again with another shity goal, crap marking from a corner found there 6ft centre half who headed onto there wee striker who tapped home. Silly goal to loose.

Into the 2nd half and Sean finally found the back of the net after some neat work from Michael McG. Michael made it 4 after a quick break from the back which involved Ants and Tam.

After my head knock in the first 5 mins, the concussion took effect in the last 5 mins and i cant remember what happened, so as far as im concerned it finished 4-2. Technically it finished 4-3 but who gives a f**k.

Superb performance all round and the game should have been finished long before the final whistle, with some great chances going begging, especially from the newly named Kenny Miller of Abronhill.

Still loosing too many stupid goals but im sure all will come good very soon.
