Superb result for Abronhill in the 1st round of the cup. Abronhill came ino the game after two great wins in the league, ANDREW WATT were also on a good run and had not been beaten since the last time ABRONHILL beat them in the league in September. First goal came from RAYMOND picking up the ball in midfield and making a good run forward before passing to KEV who finished well, knoicking it past the out coming keeper. Just 10 mins later and it was 2-0 with a trade mark goal from TONY who again got the break of the ball from the keeper kicking it off him, it landed at his feet and with an empty goal got his 6th of the season. It wasnt all one way traffic and A.W did put a lot of pressure on the defence at times and got a break 5 mins before half time, the defence failed to clear first time and when the ball was floated back in thier striker was there to nod home, 2-1. After the break it was a tight affair and it stayed 2-1 until the last 2 minutes of the game, A.W pushed everyone forward and when the ball was headed goalwards it looked to have been 2-2 but IAIN was there to volley away. IAINs volley landed at the feet of KEV who held it up long enough for BILLY to break up the park, a great pass form KEV found BILLY and a cool finish wrapped up ABRONHILLs 3rd straight win on the trot and see's us into the next round of the G.D.S.M.L CUP.
