GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 0-1 F/T 0-3

Abornhill crashed out of the West of Scottish Cup against a well organised and determined County Thistle team. Until the first goal the game was pretty even with both teams having good chances, the difference being Countys chances were on target and not peppering the car park. The first goal for County came after some slack play in midfield let the midfielder play one diagonal pass to release there striker and a superb shot found the side of the net. That was it for the 1st half and everything to play for in the 2nd.

Into the 2nd half and again both teams created plenty of chances, there main threat seamed to be there 7ft 6in centre half or the White Hightower as we called him, with no one being able to win a header against him. A great chance tomake it 1-1 saw Kevs shot saved well by the keeper then Billy also hitting it straight at the keeper just after that. 2 minutes later and it was 2-0 with a corner kick finding the head of the smaller of the centre halfs. Yes I am putting my hands up for that one I should have just clattered him but shit happens. To kill the game off County scored a 3rd with the Abronhill defenders holding back the challenges to avoind giving away a penalty, and the boy firing into the postage stamp from 18 yards.

Need to show more commitment and fight as McGowan mentioned at full time. We were 2nd to every loose ball and not holding the ball up enough, something we do in training everyweek.

Lets just put this one behind us and go into Saturdays game full of confidence and try and progress in the GDSML CUP.
