H/F time 0-0 F/T 4-3

Abronhills got there first win of the season in a superb display on Saturday. A different defence saw Tony moved from Right mid to right back and Iain regaining his place at right mid.

The first was a cagey affair with both teams having limited chances and both keeped not having much to do but the 2nd half was to be a different story altogether.

Abronhill opened the scoring with a well worked goal. On the rare occasion Billy passes the ball he picked out Iain switching the ball from left mid to right mid, Iain took one touch to control the ball the his 2nd to deliver a pin point cross for the incoming Robert Mason to bullet a header into the net from a good 12 yards out. keeper had no chance, 1-0 Abronhill. Soon it was 2-0 with some tenatious work from Tony down the right flank, a one-two with ross saw him power into the box and although the defender thought the ball was going out Tony wrapped his foot round the ball to pull it back for Billy to grab his 2nd of the season with a simple tap in.

The defence worked well but one moment of slackness brought Andrew Watt back into the game, some the ball broke to the striker to aimed for the bottom corner, Josie ? tgot his fingers to the ball superbly but the ball treacled over the line somehow, crappy goal but they all count. 2-1.

Was this the start of a comeback, well withing 1 minute of the re-start it was 3-1. From the back Michael who came on for the knackered Tony( its a hard shift at right back), found Iain on the left wing, the ball looked to be going over Iains head but he jumped just enough to flick the ball into the run of billy who powered down the left wing, he then pinged in a glorious cross for Michael Mcgowan to grab his first of the season with a fine first time finish, superb goal.

3-1 and cruising or so we thought, but then the comeback did happen, it was 3-2 after loose marking saw a fine first time finish straight from a corner the guys volley was superb. Then it was 3-3 again from a corner one of there guys unmarked with a bullet headed intot he roof of the net. Were Abronhill about to self destruct ?

New signing thomas proved to be the match winner with an absolute wonder goal.  A long kick out found Graham whos usual first touch some how managed to work its way back to Thomas who with all of 30 yards from goal unleashed a screamer which was heading into the postage stamp only for the ball to clatter off the post then nestle in the opposite side of the net, an absolute peach.

So after a 1st half which had nothing the 2nd half had everything, well done guys for a fighting for 90mins and letting the heads go down when they came back into the game, no in team fighting axcept the usual shouts from jack. But all in all a good day. Lets take it into the first game of the season against Allander on Saturday.

Ross got Man of the Match awarded by the ref, baldies stick together.
