Abronhill put last weeks defeat well and truly behind them with a superb performance against Division A opposition AFC Columba. It took a full 45 seconds for Billy to redeem himself after last weeks chances went begging. From a shocking clearance from the AFC Columba defender the ball dropped onto Billys left foot, and from at least 30 yards he volleyed the ball over the keeper for 1-0 after less than a minute on the clock. Stunning strike and certainly a goal of the season contender. Thats the second 30 yarder this season on the same pitch into the same goal for Abronhill.

After the celebrations for that goal for finished Abornhill kept up the pressure and should have been 3 or 4 with the first 20 minutes with chances being squandered left, right and centre. Eventually Kev remembered where the back of the net was after a great cross from Iain caught the defenders flat footed and KEVIN stooped low to header home.

Next it was Iains turn with a great volley finished of from a cross from someone who i cant remember, tell me at training. 3-0.

Just before half time Kev struck again with a low finish past the keeper froma  great cross from Billy. 

 Half time and some of the football in the first half was tremendous and AFC Columba had no answer to the attacking play from Abronhill. In fact Soapy had about 2 touches of the ball in the first half and they were back passes.

So into the 2nd half and could Abronhill keep up the pace from the first half, well the answer was NO, but AFC Columba still caused little problem and the whole team in the 2nd half were cruising.

Billy and Iain were replaced for Mark and Tony and Joe was replaced by Michael after a stupid challenge ripped Joes socks.

About 70mins of the match gone and Abronhill made it 5-0 with a great finish from Thomas from 18 yards high into the roof of the net, does the bhoy score tap ins ? After the 5th AFC Columbas excuse for a Centre half was obviously pissed off and put in a shocking challenge on Thomas, a two footed lunge which could have easily broke his leg, from that the ref played advantage and Tony tells us he scored the 6th, only him and the ref saw it as everyone one was else was trying to get at the AFC Columbas centre half. Although the ref played advantage and Abronhill scored, im pretty sure the ref can still book or red card a played after the advantage has been played out. 

Great performance throughout the whole team, great goals scored and a clean sheet, cant ask for more.

The MoM award was given to Raymond because Billy got subbed.
