H/F time 4-0 F/T 8-0

This game was eventually played after 3 weeks of call offs. Abronhill started the game at a good pace and were 1-0 within 10mins with a goal from the self titled Magical Michael McGowan. A definite cross caught in the wind and lobbed the keeper from at least 30 yards. Soon after it was 2-0 with a header at the back post from Kev latching onto a well delivered corner from Iain. With Abronhill keeping the pace up it was soon 3-0 with Michael gathering the ball from an awful mistake from the GCU defender. Michael for a change unselfishly passed to Billy who was unmarked and from 18 yards side footed in for his first of the match. For the 4th goal, Kev became the supplier after riding a few dirty challenges he ignored Iains screams for a pass and pinged in a great cross for Billy to finish superbly from about 12 yards with a great header.  Into half time and nothing much to be said as the performance was superb against a very poor opposition who seemed to have chucked it.  After wakening up Soapy from his 45 minute nap the 2nd half kicked could begin and like eager beavers we began where we left off in the first half.

Not to sure if this is the order they went in , but who cares.

Billy completed his hat-trick with another cross come shot that some how found the back of the net, he did admit it was a cross unlike someone else. Kev grabbed his second of the game with a neat finish after some good work from the roaming right back. Kev then completed his hat trick after a great cross from Billy found him at the back post to head home.

Biggest shock of the game was that Jack eventually got on the end of a corner after three seasons of trying and what a finish it was. After some words of  encouragement from Danny which went along the lines of  "Jack, whats the point in you going up for a corner , you never score, this is the last time your going up for a corner, your Shite"

Jack, with those words of wisdom from the Captain still ringing in his ears, then finished superbly with his right foot on the volley from 5 yards out into the roof of the net.

Great performance from all players, as the saying gos, ' you can only beat whats in front of you' and we certainly did that with GCU only making Soapy make one save in the whole match, it was probably the most comfortable game of the season.
