F.C WIMBLEDON 1 ABRONHILL 3
LOCATION: HAMILTON
TEAM: JOSIE, JOE, JACK, DANNY, ANTS, RICKY, MARK, RAYMOND, MICHAEL, BILLY and KEV
SUBS USED: BROGAN
GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 1-2 F/T 1-3
A much needed win for Abronhill after three straight defeats. Injuries and poeple off for easter meant the team was reshuffled and saw Ants at Left back, Ricky Left mid and Michael right mid, with alot of people missing there was even room for a starting place for Mark.
Abronhill found themself 1 down after a scrappy goal from wimbledon with the ball not being cleared from a throw in, the ball somehow found its way to a Wimbledon player at the back post whos weak effort somehow beat Josie in goal. A Wimbledon player then lost the plot and a superb Karate kick into Dannys ribs so him get a straight red card and Wimbledon were down to 10 men. That gave Abronhill the boot up the arse they needed and quickly got the game back to 1-1 with a clinical knee from billy after good work down the left Kev having his effort saved billy kneed in the rebound.Shortly after it was two from a corner the ball bounced about the box before Kev seized his oppertunity and found the back of the net, Half time.
Into the second half and the game should have been over with Billys cross come shot hitting off the crossbar then post and over the line by a good foot only for the Ref to continue play cause he was too far back to see it cross the line, with Kev and Billy already celebrating the goal Wimbledon somehow cleared the ball, so still 2-1.
Wimbledon rarely threatened in the second half and it was just a matter of time before Abronhill got the third. With Mark going off injured Stephen Brogan made his comeback from exile in St Andrews and made an immediate impact calmy slotting past the keeper for Abronhills third.
We just need a bit more self belief in the team and games like these will be a walk in the park again we made it harder than needed to be, lets go out against Hamilton on Saturday and prove to ourself how good we can play.
Nearly forgot to mention Raymonds freekick, it was as if RONALDO himself was in the team, it had everything, Power Accuracy, Swerve, Dip ..... I RIGHT.
MoM award also went to raymond, again a case of whoever asks the Ref gets it.
