Revenge is sweet so they say, and it tasted good last night. After Crosslands had somehow beaten us twice before this match the only acceptable result was a win for Abronhill. Within the first ten minutes Abronhill should have at least been two goals to the good but poor finishing or the final ball seem to let us down. A glancing header from the demoted captain Danny saw the ball hit the post, and with Billy celebrating already the defender had the chance to clear his lines.

The opener came from a good pass from Raymond spotting Billys run who headed for the bi-line, who then stood up a superb cross to spot Kevs run and a good header saw Abronhill got 1 up. Being honest it was lucky to stay like that due to two superb goal line clearances from Ross, one that looked an almost certain equaliser.

Into the second half and Abronhill nearly lost a goal after only a minute for not clearing a simple throw in, i think it was there 7ft gian of a centre half that caused the confusion as he practically blocked out the sun. After that scare Crosslands didn’t really have much of the second half and if Abronhill took all there chances the game would have been much more comfortable in the end. The 2nd goal came from a good corner from Ants finding the head of Kev once again who finished well. Substitute Iain nearly made it 3 with a superb 25 yard shot coming back off the post.

Keep the hard work up bhoys and more goals will come.

All the fighting amongst ourself MUST stop if we are to proceed in this league, there’s absolutely no good what so ever in arguing at each other, ENCOURAGEMENT should be the priority.

Lets continue the good form into Saturday, the superb pitches at Stratchy Uni should suit our play once again.
