GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 4-2 F/T 6-2
Abronhills squad rotation kicked in again after a great win on Thursday night with 7 changes been made. Saturdays opponents are new to the league so Abronhill had to be on their toes from the start. It didnt take long for Abronhill to get the first goal of the game. A superb cross from Ants was headed home by Grant, bagging his 4th on 3 games. Soon after it was 2-0 with Kev heading home from 18 yards from a great cross from his brother Michael. Innes then decided to help out Woodgreen, from a backpass he volleyed the ball off their incoming striker who then slotted home from a tight angle, 2-1. Kev soon grabbed his 2nd of the game poking home a cross from Billy after some patient play. 10 min before halftime it was 3-2, Woodgreen midfielder finishing superbly from 18 yards after not been closed down in time. Then it was time for the Kanye show. Grant got his 5th of the season, yes 5th, from another header at the back post. He just seems to be in the right posistion at the right time over these past few game. Half time 4-2
Into the second half and Abronhill dominated with Woodgreen rarely getting into our half and Innes having a quiet 45mins. Billy grabbed his first of the season after some unselfish play from Raymond who his third appearance from the subs bench this season :-) . Billy slotted into an empty net from 12 yards, 5-2.
Next came a goal that any player would have been proud of. Jack showed some good instincts to go short for a throw in from Rab, Jacks first touch was mince so had to volley the ball into the 18 yard box with his 2nd. Raymond flicked the ball on and then Grant took a touch on his varnished chest before turning in an insTANce and volleying the ball high in the roof of the net. Superb goal and a great way to finish of the game and tie up is hat-trick. Really was an outsTANding goal, all the celebration was missing was a handsTANd.
