 GAME SUMMARY:

H/F time 2-2 F/T 3-5

Abronhill went into this game wanting to continue a good run of form but again it was the opposistion who took the lead. Both teams had several good chances to open the scoring but Allender pounced first after a threaded ball through from midfield cut the defence in two and Allanders striker made no mistake putting them 1 up. Abronhill are now used to going a goal down and before starting to play a bit of football, and it was soon 1-1. Good work in midfield led to Kev receiving the ball in the 18 yard box but with his back to goal, the easy option was to lay the ball off to Tony who was unmarked on the edge of the box, but a great shot on the turn found the bottom right hand corner of the goal, and Kevs superb form continued.

Not long after that it was 2- to Abronhill. A auperb corner from Ants found Danny unmarked and his glancing header again found the bottom corner of the keepers net. That goal looked like Abronhill would go into the break 2-1 up but a mix up at the back from a lucky break found there striker one on one with Josie and the Striker easily rounder the keeper to make it 2-2, again a goal that is so easily avoided.

After words of wisdom from the Super Coach McGowen Abronhill knew what they had to do in the 2nd half against a determined Allender side. But again, Abronhill shot themself in the foot, a through ball looked to have been cut-out by Joe but somehow the ball still made it through and there striker fired in a shot about 18 yards that found the corner of the net, maybe the saved should have been made but the pass should never have made it through either, 3-2 Allander.

With time running out and Abronhill pushing for the equilser Allender had a good chance to bury the game but the player ballooned it over the bar from about 10 yards.

After that a tactical master stroke was played, Jack was replaced by Graham and Iain was subbed for Michael. The formation was changed to a 3-5-3 as Abronhill pushed for a goal. Soon after the change the goal that was craved finally arrived. Just like the first goal, Kev had the ball in the 18 yard box with his back to goal, but this time a neat lay off found Graham who finished superbly high into the net leaving the keeper no chance ("Thats what im talking about").

With 5 mins on the clock left Abronhill pushed for the winner and it came soon after. From the keepers punt michael won the ball before the bounce and it immediately released Kev, once he had out paced the large centre half he was one on one with the keeper and a thunderess right foot finish from 18 yards out put Abronhill 4-3 up and Allenders heads were down. And just to rub salt into the wounds it was 5-3 a minute later. A descision from Allenders midfielder to try a back heel volley on the half way line released kev once again. With all the pressure on to finally grab a hat-trick this season after bagging so many braces, Kev was in on goal once again. With the keeper rushing out to tighten the angle Kev rounded the keeper and a neat side foot finish saw Kevs 20th of the season and Abronhills 5th of the match. Kevs celebration for the third did look a bit rehearsed, had been out in his back garden sliding on his knees and looking to the heavens the night before dreaming of a hat-trick ??

All in all a good day but the mistakes have to be cut-out and games like these will be that much easier as we have the strike force to damage any team. It also must be stated that McGowen should be listened to at all times and his words of wisdom followed to the letter.

(PS: Kev you can give me that £20 on Thursday at training you said you would give me if i gave you a glowing report, job done i think)
