GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 1-0 F/T 1-1

Abronhill managed a decent draw away to fellow promotion hopefuls GlenavonThistle at Espieside in Coatbridge. However, it could just as easily havebeen a win if it wasn't for the slow start from the visitors, some poor decision making in front of goal and some crazy refereeing decisions.

Glenavon took the lead in the first half after a decent shot struck the post and bounced in, leaving stand-in keeper (hurry back Josey - hehe) Mark McCluskey with no chance. Abronhill pressed for an equaliser before halftime but just couldn't find their way in front of goal. Their game in midfield could also have been better, but the sloping cow field of afootball pitch didn't help.

The second half was a different story as Abronhill raised their game and went for the equaliser, resulting in a goal from Iain Martin, who done well to finish despite being up half the night watching CBeebies. The secondhalf also saw 3 changes from the master tactician Stephen 'Ancelotti' McGowan, when injuries to Joe Maguire and Tony McCluskey saw Michael McQuillan and Stevie Brogan come on as replacements. New mid-season bosman Ricky Young also came on for his first appearance in the hoops.....sorry the grey, replacing a sleepy Iain Martin. Abronhill had a chance to win the game at the end but the ref amazingly called offside when RaymondMcCluskey was clean through. Overall, a decent enough point away from home, but disappointing not to win - this definitely shows how far the team has come in the last couple of months.
I think we will all agree that the ref made some awful desicions during the game but his worst was saved for after the game when somehow without any explanation or reason he awarded BILLY the Man of the Match award, ABRONHILLS very own Paul Hartley look-a-like just seems to catch the referees eye in this league.
