MATCH REPORT BROUGHT TO YOU TODAY BY OLD SILVER TONGUE HIMSELF KEV McQUILLAN

Abronhill started the match brightly following a really bad start in midweek and within the first 10 mins the forwards had squandered 2 good chances.  Kev snatching at a great through ball from Joe (you can thank me later editor - note a mention for the defence Danny!) and Billy dragging wide when clean through on the keeper.

Despite Jack's usual encouragement (?!?!?), it was a decent enough start.

With the defence looking solid and the lads in midfield coming out on top in a scrappy battle, it wasn't long before the 'Hill took the lead.  Great work down the left led to Bill getting to the byeline and pulling back where Magical Mickey met the ball at the back post to lach home via the underside of the bar - nearly missed it wee man!

Despite having most of the ball, the play lacked composure and fluidity however Abronhill went into the break 2 up after Kev latched onto his own header to run in and finish past the advancing keeper high into the net.

The 2nd half seen Abronhill regain something like our best form.  Alert defending, great movement and some good passing ensured that the game would be won comfortably.  First Kev made it 3-0 after a great run and cross from the right by Bill to the front post was met and dispatched easily.  Bill then notched a double of his own, first scoring from an indirect free-kick, sweeping the ball into the corner of the net after several richochet's in a crowded box.

Bill's second was a good backpost header from Big Rab's longest long throw of the season (and there have been a few!).

So who else fancied a double??  Raymond, making a late appeal for Players Player votes, capped a fine performance (no enough to get my vote this year mate though!!) with a superb finish from 20 years on the half volley insode the keeper's left post.  Any he rounded off a convincing win and performance when following up after Bill's header bounced twice on top of the bar to tap into the net.

Well done lads, great attitude and graft for 90 mins.
