GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 0-2 F/T 1-2
After a superb 6-0 two weeks ago Abronhill went into this game full of confidence and it showed as within the first 20 minutes saw the Hill lead 2-0. The first goal came from some tenacious work in midfield which saw the very skillful Magical Michael McGowan have a strike at goal which was well saved by the keeper. But he could only parry it out to the energetic Billy to grab his 11th of the season already. It really was all Michaels work to be honest, he is just awesome. ( That Ok michael ?)
Not long after it was 2-0 and what a goal it was. A punt from Soapy found Kevs head, which sent the ball out to the left wing, where Billy picked it up and ran down the line before whipping in a great cross for Iain to volley home with a diagonal finish. Superb play and a class finish.
Abronhill then decided to step of the gas and let Parklife play a bit on there hom turf and it should so easily have been 2-1 but for an astonishing miss from there 'Striker'. A slip at the back allowed there No:11 to run in one on one with soapy who saved brilliantly but the rebound fell again at the No:11s feet and from whole 5 yards from goal the he put it wide. Absolutley hilarious.
Into half time and Abronhills confidence was still high and the game should have been put to bed with some great chances being missed. Some hard tackles saw the brothers grim Raymond and Tony go in the book, but to be honest Parklife gave as good as they got in most challenges.
With 20 mins remaining Parklife got back into the game with a spectacular O.G by Jack. A through ball released there striker but Soapy was quick of the mark to clear the ball but could only volley it off jacks shins as he was running back with the striker. From 20 yards it is easily the best goal Jack has ever scored. Well done Boss.
With Parklife getting some confidence and looking for an equaliser some meaty challenges again were flying in and Tony found himself getting his second yellow and his marching orders. But with 10 men Abronhill held firm and held on for the win. Also have to mention Soapys superb save to deny and certain goal, just getting enough on it to tip it onto the bar.
Good performance from the whole team and a good hard fought win from a much improved Parklife from last season. Pitch wasn’t the greatest either but a good 3 points.
