GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 1-0 F/T 4-0
Abronhill league campaign continued with a home match against Cale Uni, the team Abronhill had previously humped 8-0 just before Christmas. Abronhill never treated this game as an easy fixture and the patience shown for the whole game was a refreshing change. Billy R, should have opened the scoring but his volley from Rabs cross sailed wide, must do better Billy. Abronhill did open the scoring and it was from one of many fouls the Cale Uni defence gave away. Ants superb left foot cross was met by Kev who swooped to head home the opener. It should have been more before half time with Grant having a shot cleared off the line by Billy of all people, and Ross also had a few chances to but i dont have enough time to write about those ones, there was just too many. Although Ross did do well to clear Cale Unis only real chance off the line when the game was still 1-0. Guys on the both posts for a corner is always a good idea.
So, only 1-0 at half time and a much improved Cale Uni side from our last fixture. A few changes 15 minutes into the second half proved to be the turning point of the game. Joe went off for Michel and Ants was replaced by Raymond, some how Ross ended up playing at right back, dont ask! Michael McQ also got a run out and replaced Billy.
Not long after the subs were made, Raymond played an inch perfect pass for the whippet Magical Michael to take a sublime touch before rattling it into the back of the net for 2-0, superb goal. Not long after super sub MMM got his second, Michaels pace again causing the problem and a sweet finish. Michael you must be happy with these comments !
The game was finished as a contest long before Kev grabbed Abronhills 4th goal with a very cool finish leaving two Cale Uni players with there pants round there ankles and lying on the floor in a heap.
4th clean sheet of the season bhoys.
Very close for top goal scorer this season with Billy and Kev again the front runners.
Lets continue the form with a win on Saturday against Wimbledon FC who we need to beat after our pre-season friendly defeat to them.
