F.C WIMBLEDON 2 ABRONHILL INTRANS 2

LOCATION: Hamilton, Jock Stein Pitch

TEAM: JOSIE, JOE, ANTS, DANNY, ROBERT, MICHAEL,ROSS, JACK, IAIN, BILLY , KEV

GAME SUMMARY:
H/F time 1-1 F/T 2-2

Abronhills first draw all season but this result felt worse than any defeat. Both teams had some good chances to open the scoring but it was Abronhill who took the lead. A good cross into the box from Kev was met by a superb jump from Billy, whose looping header found the back of the net. Wimbledon got the equaliser from a cross which was fumbled into the net by there wee striker, but a foul on Danny went unnoticed by the referee who had an absolute shocker in this game. Danny got his first yellow for politely asking the ref why the foul was not given. 10 minutes later Danny got his marching order for an incident that only the referee seen. Even the Wimbledon players agreed with Abronhill. Danny was sent off for an elbow when it was just a clash of heads. Referee obviously had lost the plot by this point.

Into the 2nd half and Abronhill dug in and deservedly took the lead. A superb cross from Michael who found Iain from at least 40 yards away, Iain collected the ball on his chest with a superb first touch and his 2nd put Abronhill 2-1 up.

Wimbledon had a few chances to make it 2-2 but failed to do so, until a scrappy chance which was easily offside found the back of the net. How can two of an opposition team on the line NOT BE OFF SIDE? Again the referee saw nothing.

Abronhill battled well with 10 men for the majority of the game but only a point to show for there efforts.

Lets put this game behind us and look forward to a tasty match against Baillieston on Saturday in a MUST WIN SEMI FINAL.
